After years in the test kitchen, Eddie was ready to introduce Malaysian to real chocolate in 2013. With his wife, Aileen, he founded Love18 Chocolates. Their idea: when you introduce people to truly exquisite truffles and confections they will be won over instantly.

Our Handmade Chocolate Culture

We believe when you introduce people to truly exquisite chocolate and ingredients, they will be won over instantly. That's the Love18 Chocolates philosophy that started in 2013 and one we still live by today.

Discovering Passion

Eddie and Aileen were just an ordinary couple who loved chocolates, but they had no knowledge or skill in making them. In Y2010, they decided to try their hand at making chocolates from home, and despite many failures, they persevered through their passion and dedication.

They spent countless hours researching and practicing, and eventually, they stumbled upon the perfect combination of ingredients and techniques that created the perfect chocolate. They were determined to use only the best ingredients, so they sourced high-quality couverture chocolate from Belgium and were inspired by the artisanal chocolate-making techniques from France.

But they didn't forget their roots, and they infused Malaysian flavors into their chocolates to create a unique and unforgettable taste. Their chocolates were a reflection of the diverse and rich culture of Malaysia, and they were determined to share this with the world.

In 2013, they took a leap of faith and started Love18 Chocolates. They faced many challenges and setbacks, but they never gave up on their dream of bringing Malaysian chocolates to the world. Today, their chocolates are loved by many and are a true testament to the power of passion, dedication, and hard work.

After years of hard work and dedication, Love18 Chocolates finally achieved its dream in Y2019 & Y2020 when its unique creations, blending local Malaysian inspiration, won multiple International Chocolate Awards.

Their chocolates were unlike anything the judges had ever tasted before, with flavors such as fried onion, Bentong ginger, black sesame, lychee rose, and sour plum that were widely familiar to Malaysians but new and exciting to the international chocolate scene.

Winning multiple International Chocolate Awards was a major accomplishment for Love18 Chocolates, and it cemented their place as a leading chocolatier in the Malaysia industry with the first chocolatier in Malaysia to won such title in International Chocolates scene. But for Eddie and Aileen, it was more than just an award - it was a validation of their hard work, their dedication, and their dream to bring Malaysian chocolates to the world.

Today, Love18 Chocolates continues to innovate and create new flavors, all while staying true to their roots and their commitment to using only the best ingredients. Their journey is a testament to the power of passion, dedication, and a belief in one's dreams.
